"Whenever someone says "pursue your dreams don't let anything stop you" I find it hard to imagine they mean that in a literal sense. Almost always, you prepare to tell them your dream, or you start pursuing it, and they turn around and tell you it is unrealistic. That you are better elsewhere. I suppose that is just the way people are, willing to support you at first, but later as you are beginning to achieve a dream they change their opinion because they have yet to fulfill their own."

The recent release of the Halo game called guardians gave me another concept for my book, it is amazing how inspiration can come from anywhere. They released a TV ad earlier this year that gave me an insight to a new group of individuals in my novel. I am working on just the beginnings of this group of people.

Today I started writing the first sentences to a painfully hard to write plot point towards the middle of my novel. One of the toughest things is to put pictures in my mind onto paper, capturing every detail I can think of. I also discovered today how a major story-line character in my novel is able to travel and make contact with the __________ race. This character uses a very simple set of tools called _________ ___. I came up with a another new character for the story today, what this persons role is in the overall plot I can not yet say. 

"Rain is falling, and long spent it was for many days." 

Writing this complex story was prompted when I became obsessed with the physiological term know as emotional intelligence. I used it in everything, from short stories to persuasive essays. I wanted to prove that it is more important to have a higher EQ vs IQ in everyday life, I still believe it is. This prompted me to create a race for a story known as the _________ with __________ abilities. I bet you are curious now.

Anyways, as I said earlier it is very complex, but I wanted to give a little bit of the background of what inspired me to write my novel. The crazy part is, it all lives inside my brain, that race, their abilities, even the scientific explanations regarding the race and their abilities. Paint a picture of what I might have created, and you would know why I would want to keep it so secret.  

Following up: I wan't to leave my readers with something to speculate about, it can be a quote from the book, a picture. Just something that will get them thinking.

"Our likeness was of their own, we thought as them, yearned as them, worshiped as them, all the same and all different in any given moment."

Decipher that one.

Hello, my name is Daniel. You can call me Dan, Danny, William, Falco, or even Squirrel. I live in a place that wouldn't even be considered a place in popular opinion. I am a cashier in a town with a single, tiny, and quaint grocery store. My father is my manager, and my siblings and mother are my only co-workers. It is family-ran but not family-owned. So our days pretty much consist of the same thing over and over for weeks on end.

In my free time I enjoy discovering, divulging in, and contemplating story lines for novels, short stories, and films. I have never considered myself only a writer and nothing else. I like to do other things like bike-ride, play video games, watch movies, hang out with friends, etc. Although my time is largely focused on running a grocery store I try to find free time in between where I can do whatsoever my heart desires. I have had concept for a novel building up since my junior year of high school, so it has been at least 3 years since I have had this concept in my head. It is complex, my idea has never been done before at least as far as I know. I believe that I may have the motive, and confidence to someday complete it... It may take me years to finish, so be it.

Now I would like to keep things a bit simple, see, I don't like writing a lot about something I am not interested in such as my life story. This blog I hope will be a very enjoyable experience for me, it will probably work best if I don't have stress to write more then I would like to. Although, depending on my mood I could write paragraphs without end but on some days it could be a mere sentence. I hope you will stick with me on this journey to develop my novel every step of the way.
