where we are going

Every once in a while I receive a wake-up call that reminds me of the important things in life. The eternal perspective in everything. I witnessed my best friend be sealed to his wife for time and all eternity... To comprehend such a notion. It is so beyond me.

I am lost for words in regard for these sacred things. I have no idea where to begin. Nothing can really be said other than the Lord continuously reveals the authenticity of his gospel to me. At times I fail to recognize and live up to that knowledge he has blessed me with. Of course, thus is life, we must continue to fall and rise until we have learned all we must and performed the service that our Heavenly Father has for us to perform. I bear witness for myself and my family to be, my descendants, that these sacred, and divine principles of the gospel are of divine origin. Leading us to the eternities.

I'm at a loss

I am at a loss to really say what is on my mind.

I used to believe that my youth was the last and final time I would ever feel truly alive. After being at college and seeing that everyone has experienced the same feeling. I have realized that those memories are like gems that you have to hold dear to your heart. Look, life does not end when you graduate high school. Yes, things get more serious. It does not mean you can't live.

Taking leaps of faith

I have no idea where I am going with this post. What I do know is that I feel impressed to pose the question on the rationality of taking a leap of faith. Is it foolish? Human beings tend to avoid risk but when it comes to taking a leap of faith we disregard the risk. Is it foolish to have faith in things that come with a risk.

"Whenever someone says "pursue your dreams don't let anything stop you" I find it hard to imagine they mean that in a literal sense. Almost always, you prepare to tell them your dream, or you start pursuing it, and they turn around and tell you it is unrealistic. That you are better elsewhere. I suppose that is just the way people are, willing to support you at first, but later as you are beginning to achieve a dream they change their opinion because they have yet to fulfill their own."

The recent release of the Halo game called guardians gave me another concept for my book, it is amazing how inspiration can come from anywhere. They released a TV ad earlier this year that gave me an insight to a new group of individuals in my novel. I am working on just the beginnings of this group of people.

Today I started writing the first sentences to a painfully hard to write plot point towards the middle of my novel. One of the toughest things is to put pictures in my mind onto paper, capturing every detail I can think of. I also discovered today how a major story-line character in my novel is able to travel and make contact with the __________ race. This character uses a very simple set of tools called _________ ___. I came up with a another new character for the story today, what this persons role is in the overall plot I can not yet say.
